Kapamilya Stickers are three illustrations created by Eme consisting of the famous Filipino jeepney, ice-cream kariton, and a bahay kubo.

These iconic items are essential to Filipino everyday life embedded within the culture. The bahay kubo being the original house, the jeepney being an affordable means for community transportation, and the kariton as the traditional ice-cream distribution that bless Barangays.

The lively colours and style represent the themes of the body of work of Kapamilya: home, childhood, the streets and community. The text within the illustrations such as “serve the people”, “ibaba presyo, itaas sahod” (“lower prices, increase wages”) & “no to jeepney phase out” are political slogans used to champion the people’s democratic movement and continuing people power movement.

All proceeds will go to Liyang, an advocacy network that amplifies the calls to action of environmental and human rights defenders of Mindanao, Philippines in the struggle for land, livelihood, and self-determination.
